A blend of traditional and modern, wild and cultured, and allowed to mature for a little longer, Slow + Easy is an award-winning, easy drinking, accessible medium cider with some subtle complexity. It is a combination of 4 different ferments, with 2 wild yeast ferments of cider apples and 2 cultured yeast ferments of eating apples. It was pressed in 2018, which was a glorious summer that gave a bountiful harvest of sweet apples, and bottled in 2019.
All fruit is gathered by hand from unsprayed trees in Ashleworth, Minsterworth, Longney, Toddington, Winchcombe, Farmington, Northleach and Charlton Kings.
Bushel + Peck won two silver medals for Slow + Easy at the Sagardo Forum in 2019.
Chris and Kayleigh tried this cider at Explorers HQ in June 2020. It is lightly sparkling, with good body and crispness along with a touch of sweetness.
This cider is made with fresh juice including the following apple varieties.
Lord Lambourne (one of their favourite apples)
Howgate Wonder (the largest apple of them all)
Cox’s Orange Pippin
