The Rogers family have been managing the orchards and fertile soils situated inside a bend in the River Wye in Hampton Bishop for three generations. In 2016 Kier Rogers took a leap of failth to found the the Colcombe House brand, taking the name from the family home, once a celebrated Salmon Fishing Lodge favoured by Queen Victoria's son, the Duke of Connaught.
Kier has been a passionate apple grower working with mother nature for over 20 years and selects the finest apples from the orchards to make premium craft ciders. The orchards he nurtures are trickle irrigated using fresh water from the Wye. The trees are naturally pollinated by bees from the many hives dotted around the estate and Kier uses natural seaweed-based products that promote tree health and help to alleviate stress during difficult growing conditions.
