Cotswold Cider Company Sideburns Cider is a traditional style, medium sparkling cider with a rich, fruity and distinctive flavour. It has a crisp zingy mouth with a deep, rich full tannic body that holds and then carresses the taste buds, subtly soothing the senses until they finally tell you to go again. It is named after General Ambrose Everett Burnside, an American Union army general whose distinctive style of facial hair became known as sideburns.
Sideburns won a 1* Great Taste Award ain 2017 and a silver medal at the Frankfurt International Cider Competition in 2018.
Rory started Cotswold Cider Company as a part-time passion back in 2009 at an old Oxfordshire water mill, using fruit from a local apple orchard that he acquired. Having now grown to a full-time obsession making cider "properly, without the junk", they have won numerous national and international awards for their ciders.
