Ross-On-Wye Red Longdon is a traditional, single-variety dry perry that has a soft and gentle flavour, with a little acidity and only slight tannins. It is an easy-drinking and delicate perry. Red Longdon is a very rare variety that dates back to at least the 1700's, and quite likely even earlier.

The Johnson family have made craft cider and perry at Broome Farm since the 1930's and have won a plethora of awards, including BBC Food and Farming Winner 2019. They grow over 100 types of apple and 30 of perry pears in their unsprayed orchards, which they naturally ferment using wild yeasts, and May Hill can be seen from the farm, which legend has it that the best perry pears are grown in-sight of.
