Ross on Wye's Suzie Wong is a soft and fruity traditional style, medium-sweet, still cider, with apples selected to give a balance of acidity and tanin. It is pressed from fresh fruit from unsprayed orchards on the farm, then allowed to ferment and mature using natural wild yeasts for 18 months before bottling and sweetening with natural sugar. This cider is named after Ross Cider's much loved farm cat, a good mouser!
The Johnson family have made cider and perry at the farm since the 1930's and have won a plethora of awards, including BBC Food and Farming Winner 2019.
Kayleigh and Chris tried this cider at Explorers HQ in June 2020. It is a sweet, easy drinking cider, lightly sparkling and with hints of honey.
