Ross On Wye Yarlington Mill is a traditional, dry, single variety cider, with a full body, complex spiciness and voluminous apple flavour. Yarlington Mill is a bittersweet variety, dicovered by Edward Bartlett in Somerset in the late 19th century and now a popular apple in most parts of the UK. It is one of Ross on Wye's favourite apples on the farm, but they only have one row of trees, so each bottle is valued.
The Johnson family have made craft cider and perry at Broome Farm since the 1930's and have won a plethora of awards, including BBC Food and Farming Winner 2019. They grow over 100 types of apple and 30 of perry pears in their unsprayed orchards, which they naturally ferment using wild yeasts.
