A medium-dry, traditional style single-variety cider made from Kingston Black apples from Herefordshire. Kingston Black is a traditional bittersharp cider apple that originated in Somerset in the 1800s. Unique for having both luscious acidity and prominent tannins, it was described as being "allegedly the perfect cider apple" by Andrew Lea. It became widely planted across England and Wales, despite the tree itself being frustrating to grow.

The cider is made from fresh fruit gathered from local orchards, pressed with a belt press and then allowed a long period of fermentation.

Ty Gwyn's previous iteration of this cider won a 2-gold-star Great Taste Award
