Based near Bridport in Dorset, West Milton has been making traditional cider since 2000, when they found they needed to do something with the apples they removed from a field they rented for their horses! They set about mastering the practice of making full-juice, natural ciders, and rediscovering the ancient art of keeving to produce naturally sweeter ciders.
At their cider shed in Lancombe Cross, they press good quality bittersweet apples that come from their own and their neighbour's orchards, including Dabinett, Yarlington Mill and Chisel Jersey. They then allow a long, slow fermentation to lock in delicious natural flavours and colours. Their ciders have won numerous awards, including Taste of the West silver and gold awards, and gold at the prestigious British Cider Championships for their keeved offering, Lancombe Rising.
